Experts define cellulite (from lat.
cellula -
cell) as a change in the structure of adipose tissue. This condition is
specific to women, when under the influence of various factors
lymph and blood flow to fat cells
(adipocytes)
becomes disrupted. Cellulite is synonymous with the term "
lipodystrophy" (literally - disorders of fat cells metabolism), showing the problems in fat metabolism at the cellular level. Inactive due to the
cellulite fatty tissue gets from the general lipid metabolism. Simultaneously connective tissue, entangling fat cells grows and begins to
compress and
extrude
them. As a result, lots of bumps appear on the skin surface and so-called
orange peel effect arises. Substances which promote the release of fat can not penetrate into the affected cellulite cells to help them outflow. As a result, an adipose cells continue to absorb fat and can not effectively relieve from it at the moment when the body needs it. By the way affected cellulite cells accumulate large number of
toxins. Cell walls thicken, harden, making it more difficult to release fat. Incidentally skin due to violations of nutrient support through the blood
loses its elasticity, becomes
flabby, and all its bumps become very noticeable.
